Our Colors are black and platinum with light pink accents.
Flowers
I haven't made any flower decisions yet, but I know that I want something chic and elegant. I am thinking mostly light pink flowers, but with some creams mixed in, and possibly some brighter pinks mixed in for mine. I absolutely LOVE the Peony bouquet above, but Peonies aren't in season in September, so I'm not sure if that's possible or not. I also really love Dahlias, and Pink Hydrangeas as well.
Cake
We met with Eileen Carter this past weekend for a cake tasting. Her cake is Aaah-mazing! I think we've decided to go with a cake similar to the one above (which was created by Eileen), however it will be 4 layers instead of 5. Originally I was thinking of doing fresh flowers on top, but then I saw this picture, from knottie pdxphotogrl, and I absolutely LOVE the idea of using japanese paper cranes as a cake topper. Our cake will be chocolate on the bottom, and vanilla on the top, with hazelnut filling. It's beyond decadent!
Programs
Knottie SquareBalloon made the awesome fortune teller programs that you see above! I absolutely love this idea, so I'm stealing it!! I'm going to make them with white, silver and pink paper, and use black ink for the printing. I think they're going to be adorable, and they go so well with the paper crane cake topper, and origami place cards!!
Toasting Flutes
My parents and my sister and brother-in-law gave Jacob and I these gorgeous Waterford toasting flutes as an engagement gift. I can't wait to use them at the wedding!
