Programs

For our programs, I made old school fortune tellers.  I love them. I think they are adorable, and they were actually pretty simple to make.  I used metallic paper in pink, white and silver, and I printed them all out on my laser printer.  Then it was just a matter of folding them up.  It took much less time than I expected (although it didn't hurt that I had some wonderful friends come over and help me out!)

Flip Flop Baskets

I got about 40 pairs of old navy flip flops in sizes 6 - 10, and I arranged them in two baskets like the one pictured below.  They will be placed on the hearth of the fireplace next to the dance floor, and girls can take a pair if  their heels are uncomfortable.  I know a lot of people think this idea is silly...and, well, it IS!  But I don't care.  I love it.  I made little tags for each pair of flip flops that says the size, and used some silver ribbon to  tie them together, then I made signs for the baskets that said put on your dancing shoes!  Don't worry, I straightened out the sign on this basket after I took the picture!

Place Cards

Picture
My place cards are going to be white rectangle cards, mounted on pink cardstock, that say each guests name, along with their table number.  Attached to each card will be a small origami shape that represents their meal choice.  I bought a bunch of scrapbook paper at Target in fun black, grey and white patterns to make all of the origami. Here are a couple of the roosters that I'm working on now.  I'm so excited about how cute they're turning out!

Out of  Town Bags

Each guest will get a little silver guest bag filled with two bottles of water, two bags of chips, two granola bars and a handful of candy.  There's also a welcome letter with an itinerary for the weekend, and a map to the friday pre-party.  I sealed each bag with a label that says "Welcome to Atlanta" on one side, and "Thank you so much for coming! Love, Erica and Jake" on the other.  It's not much, but it's a nice little welcome bag, and they look pretty cute.
